Oh my goodness, what a turnout! You all have made the casting process impossible with all of the amazing voices and choices! Everyone should be so proud of their performances. Unfortunately, casting requires more than just talent, we had to think about casting choices that affect age range, conflicts, and overall direction of the show. If your name is not on the callback list this does NOT mean you are not cast as well as not right for the role.
If called back we have written out the songs that you will be singing as well as the sheet music to help you learn. You are NOT required to be memorized, feel free to print out the sheet music but use the music as a reference, not a crutch! There will also be a couple scenes for each character, these sides do NOT need to be memorized! To prepare for any callback we recommend reading the synopsis, play, and listening to each song that your character sings (not just the one you will be singing). Come to the callback room prepared with how well you know your character and be adaptable to direction.
Callbacks will be held on Friday the 16th at 5:00 pm at NoCoPa. The creative team will be there at 4:30 if you would like to come early to practice (we recommend being at least 15 minutes early). We will start with a dance call in the theater so dress in movable clothes. There will be a quick 5 minute break after the dance call so that you can change and get into the mindset for the rest of the callbacks!
Callbacks are your way, as an actor, to play these characters before the show so be bold, have fun, and leave everything on that stage! Break a leg!
*Some of these tracks do NOT have a karaoke track. For those that do not we will use the rehearsal tracks. We will spend time BEFORE your callback to go over entrances, so no need to worry. For the time being just practice with the tracks and acapella!*
